Victor Lister of Athens, ME won the $1,000 Nonfiction Award for "Jefferson Expects Every Man Will Do His Duty," a clear-eyed re-assessment of the War on Terror and its origins.
Susan Cohen, of Berkley, CA, won the $1,000 Poetry Award for "Survival," a lyrical but unsentimental narrative that uses a fragment to depict a world.
